Back in 2011 White Arms of Athena blew me thoroughly away with their debut full length album Astrodrama. That same year brought us Level 2 by Last Chance To Reason so it was a fantastic year for BTBAM worshiping concept albums. Astrodrama was full of great vocals, shred and meaty riffs. The middle of the album was an instrumental jazz-metal fest and the whole album's quality caused it to be crowned my number 1-3 album of 2011 (along with Level 2 and Fables From The Sleepless Empire).
Now WAOA are back with a follow up that goes in quite a different direction than its predecessor so I'll leave it here for you guys to make up your mind. I'll be back later with some thoughts, possibly a full review, who knows?
A blog mostly about music but also films and video games. No genre of music is out of bounds but underground, experimental and progressive music has been the focus so far.
