Some discoveries are more worthwhile than others. While my exploration of the internet trying to find new music may not play a big part in the grand scheme of things I'm still going to share with you a couple of bands I ran into today as the earth has already been mapped out sufficiently.

I came across an album teaser the other day from a new prog/tech metal band called Verse Vica, it sounded exciting as hell so I checked their Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/versevica Less than 400 likes so far so let's get them up a couple hundred now shall we? Seeing as there's an album review coming up in the next couple of days I wanted to talk about reviews for a bit and I think this video, despite being focused on video games, raises a valid point for reviews overall. Watch it and then join me below the break.
I decided to kick the week off with some under-appreciated or less well known mathcore (and associated genre) bands. What better way to kick it off than a song called Modern Mathematics?
A couple of great bands released singles this week so what do I do? Write about them, post it here and the world keeps turning.
So I recently got in touch with Closure in Moscow, whose album Pink Lemonade will surely grace my year-end list with it's psychedelic presence, about an interview and vocalist Christopher De Cinque was a total Sweet#Hart about it.
My questions, his answers and some songs, in case you're not familiar with the band, can be found below. A month or two ago I purchased a ticket to see Gorguts live in Reykjavík this week. I was excited as hell and tried to book an interview. How did it go?
So we've made it to the last day of Tech Fest, emotions are running high and the line-up is as killer as can be. This is the first of two interviews from Sunday which will then be followed by a live review of the bands I saw (which, due to interviews, ended up being the fewest of all the days). I bring you Italy's Destrage:
Saturday's headliners were none other that the mighty Monuments who kicked things off with Origin of Escape of their recently released Amanuensis. Well...Chris kinda kicked it off with I will go the distance from Hercules in the end of the band's soundcheck but Origin of Escape was the first song he let the band join in on.
