To be clear, I realize Nightwish doesn't really fall into the whole "anonymous dudes playing instruments with a sexy lady" thing, especially after the numerous vocalist changes, but you get what I'm trying to say...I hope.
Overall, I don't have a lot to add to what Gazelle has to say as I agree with it in every way but one thing I think is worthy of an extra mention is this:
"Though well-intentioned, I dislike all-woman tours and fests run by feminists for their focus on gender, too. I don't want a "special place" in the world. I want a human-sized piece of the general space."
That so perfectly says what needs to be said these days, "positive discrimination" is still discrimination. There is a reason people don't try to market "positive racism" or "positive sexism", positives+negatives work the same in that context as they do in math, negatively. I was going to say that no one tries to market "positive violence" and then I remembered the fact that armies exist and so does capital punishment so that was a moot point.
