When FNM announced their comeback I was excited by the prospect of possibly seeing them live, when new material came into the equation I was more excited because live shows are easier to miss and because I always have a soft spot for Patton's voice (also, did anyone else completely forget Tomahawk released a new album this year?).
As many of you probably know this is not a technically a "reunion" because this isn't exactly the "classic line-up" or the original one (the original one, for those of you who don't know, would not include Patton) so that's why I choose to call it a comeback.
The change from The Real Thing/Angel Dust would be that Jim Martin is not in the band and he wasn't by the last couple of albums anyway. If I remember correctly his absence was partly due to him acting homophobic towards Roddy Bottum and if that's true: Fuck that guy, if not then Trey Spruance was a great replacement and Jon Hudson has kept the fire burning (or...flaming?).
All of this doesn't really have anything to do with the song but honestly I don't have a lot to say about it. I like it and I'll keep listening to it so if you haven't here's the link:
