The only way to know is to read on...
What it means for Fraktions is simple: If you like metalcore, check them out but if you don't you still shouldn't write them off because they're nothing if not different. If I had to find some similar artists I'd say that the vocals remind me of Across the Sun, a mid-range melodic approach to clean vocals but the riff style and the overall sound of the music is something I can't quite pin-point which actually feels kinda nice even if it does make this review a bit harder to write.
The instrumental side is definitely not an afterthought and every instrument gets its chance to shine. I'd say my favourite riff is probably the main one in Parachutes are overrated but there are plenty of great ones. Both the jazzy interludes and the parts featuring the keyboard help them maintain a sound of their own and I hope both of those are elaborated on future material. I realize that playing the keyboards and singing at the same time could get tricky but I hope they'll pull it off as I believe this will bring an even richer sound to this already exciting new band.
